  • Must Have Apps for the (Interior) Design Enthusiasts

If you do a quick Google search on “top apps for interior design”, the list of search results is literally endless.  Personally, I’ve perused these pages numerous times just to see if there is something new that I need to know. I have also downloaded, tested and deleted upwards of atleast 30 design-related apps and currently down to a discriminating few that are surefire time tested and approved. Whether you’re a designer, or simply embarking on a DIY, interior design projects always start with inspiration.  This can simply be an overall theme, a location or certain architectural features within a space.  As an aesthetically driven person, when I start an interior design project - upon gathering my clients desires and wishes - pictures are step #1 in the brainstorming process. My “go-to” apps for design inspiration that I recommend you download today are:

Freshome - the primary focus of this design publication is to give the purveyor inspiration to make your home more beautiful, organized and healthy. Freshome believes a calm, healthy, beautiful home is a necessary foundation for happiness and success in the world.  I subscribe to their newsletter and peruse pictures on the app on a regular basis.  Trust me, a dreamy “WOW” moment is pretty much guaranteed.

    houzz

Houzz - another tremendous app for interior design inspiration.  Touting the largest residential design database in the world, Houzz may very well be the easiest way for people to get the design inspiration, project advice, product information and professional reviews they need to help turn ideas into reality.  The app allows you to filter by style - modern, traditional, eclectic - or by room type - bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, etc.  You can also create and save your own visual ideabook of your favorite designs, email a design professional if you have a question and, if you are a design professional, post your best project photos and be a part of this impressive design community. Please do check these apps out and share with me whatever your response may be...a question, thought, request for feedback on an idea.  I'm listening!
