Taj started her career at The Architects Hall Designers, Inc., an architecture and design firm in Miami, Florida.  Throughout her 13 year tenure, she garnered a range of experience in the areas of business development, interior design, project and operations management.  In the latter years, she co-created a Business  Outreach TV Program on the local WLRN Cable-Tap station titled "You and Your Architect" featuring local architects, significant projects throughout South Florida, and the design industries effects and value on our everyday lives. Taj has completed projects both internationally and within the United States.  In 2005, her passion for sourcing unique objects led to her co-founding The Urban Collective, a retail venture that showcases a modern aesthetic complemented by limited edition crafts and objects d'art sourced globally with an emphasis on the continent of Africa, sustainability and social consciousness.  This venture provided an opportunity for her to become a contributing writer for Success South Florida and MIA Magazine with her featured column titled "Design Miami".  Taj's latest collection titled “Africa Modern” is an eclectic design of throw pillows highlighting the vivid colors and forms in African cloth today. Taj's desire for her blog is to inspire readers through interior design and fashion; and, bring awareness to local and global initiatives that seek to empower women...her deepest passion of all.
