Taj Named Top 30 Designer in South Florida

Hi Everyone,

I am thrilled to let you know that I was selected as a Top 30 designer in South Florida to participate in @housingworks 4th annual Design on a Dime Miami Charity Benefit on February 1-3, 2019.

Sponsored by the Miami Design District, Benjamin Moore, and Modern Luxury Magazine, Design on a Dime Miami features top interior designers who create unique room vignettes utilizing items donated by top home brands, artists, and designers. It culminates on a luxury shopping extravaganza weekend at the historic Moore Building in the Miami Design District.

Needless to say, it was a whirlwind of a time as I was notified in November, while I was in the midst of finalizing planning for an art fair project for Art Basel | Miami Art Week (held the first weekend of December).  Annually, I consult with the Art Africa Miami Arts Fair during this time and it's intense!  Can we talk about the stress levels?!

I'm sharing below some photos along the way:

During Art Basel weekend, I had to escape to make it to the launch reception for the Top 30 Designers hosted by The Shade Store in the Miami Design District.

This was installation day.  We were all on the scene by 5am and I was taking a MUCH NEEDED coffee break! ;)

I loooove pillows, I love globally inspired patterns, I love texture and I love handmade one-of-a-kind cultural pieces.

You are as good as your team!  These guys never fail me.

Sneak peak!  It was 3 floors of 30 different designs.  It's was so great and interesting to witness each designers unique aesthetic for their space.  The theme of my space was "The Modern Global Bungalow".

Thanks so much to all my sponsors for these lovely items.  My entire room was SOLD OUT by day #2 for charity.  What an amazing feeling to have contributed my time and talents for this important cause.  I'm truly humbled.

Yours Truly,

Taj
